The condition of the battery
The battery is the most expensive component and the one that wears predictably. Ask for a state-of-health report — it shows what percentage of the original capacity is left.
Mileage on its own does not describe the battery. A car with low mileage but charged constantly on rapid chargers can be in worse shape than one that has covered more kilometres.
The charging connector
Check which connector that specific car carries and whether it matches the standard used in Bulgaria. If it does not, the answer is an adapter or a conversion — both have a cost, and it belongs in the sum beforehand.
This is settled per car, not per model: the same model may have been built with different connectors for different markets.
The battery warranty
Manufacturers give the high-voltage battery a separate, longer warranty. It is usually valid, however, for the market the car was originally sold on.
Do not assume the warranty travels with the car. Check the terms with the marque's importer in Bulgaria before you factor the warranty into your decision.
Duties and taxes
Duty and VAT are calculated by the same mechanism as for other cars. The rate for electric cars may differ — check the current one before you plan a budget.

- Will I be able to charge a Korean electric car in Bulgaria?
- It depends on that car's connector. It is checked before ordering; if the connector does not match Bulgarian charging stations, the cost of the fix goes into the quote in advance.
